Barbra Wolfe moved to Las Vegas in 1993, a transplant from Manhattan and Long Beach, New York. With a BA from SUNY Stony Brook and an MBA from Baruch College, she has spent the last 30 years as a marketing executive in the financial and casino industries, and recently opened her own firm, In House Marketing LLC.
Barb is involved in the Las Vegas community, has served on the boards of several local non-profits, and has received Congressional Recognition for her volunteer work.
Barb is an active member of the Las Vegas Writers Group (LWG), the Henderson Writers’ Group (HWG), Writers of Southern Nevada, and the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI). She is also a member of the National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) and a long time contributing member of the Women’s Club of Summerlin, a 501c3non-profit, where she served on the board for four years.
An adventurer at heart, she has climbed the Great Wall of China, soared through the air on the noses of dolphins in Mexico, danced in the streets of Rudesheim am Rhein, ridden a camel in Morocco, traveled 30 of our states and vacationed in 18 countries so far. When not exploring the world or writing stories, her favorite pastime is curling up with a good book and her rescue dog, Mila.
Finding Billyniceguy is her debut work of fiction; it is one of ten short stories included in the anthology entitled: Tales from the Silver State II. She has several children’s books in the works and has not totally abandoned the idea of writing juicy stories about her casino days, fictional of course.
